Happy Holidays!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday and a happy, healthy and peaceful 2007.
Winter Car Safety
Whether on a long trip or just driving
about town, nobody wants to be stranded
in their car in winter weather. You can be
prepared to keep yourself and your family
safe if Jack Frost finds you on the side of
the road by carrying the following items in
your vehicle during the cold season:
Jumper Cables. Batteries tend to lose their charge more quickly as the temperature drops.
Roadside Flares. If you get stuck, these will help oncoming motorists see you through any type of
weather.
Emergency Tire Chains. In case you need to drive in the
snow.
A Bag of Sand or Rock Salt. In case you get stuck on an icy
patch.
A Window Ice Scraper. Visibility is crucial whether youre
driving or stranded.
A Blanket. Wool blankets hold heat in most effectively, but if
you dont have wool, other types will suffice. A first aid space
blanket could help, but dont substitute it for wool or cloth.
