A Different Kind of Agent
Recently, a client that had previously purchased real estate with me asked me to put together a
Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) for her condo. I presented the CMA to her noting all the
available, under contract, and sold listings. Working all the figures, I determined she would end
up pocketing approximately $10,000 after paying selling expenses and her loan. I suggested that,
in her instance, if she could afford to keep the property and rent it, that would be best in the
current market. However, if she wanted to sell it and be rid of it, she would at least not lose
money. Here is her response to my suggestion.
Barbara:
Thank you for your honest opinion regarding my condo. It looks like it is a good
idea to hold onto the condo right now. I will let you know if I change my mind. I
have to tell you that most real estate agents would say lets sell the property so they
can get a commission but I know that you have my best interest at hand. Thank you
for being you and being honest. I really appreciate that.
