That Really Matter
With the New Year upon us, many of our resolutions may involve goals we’d like to accomplish over
the next year. The following quiz is a gentle reminder of the things that really matter.
Name the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.
Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
Name the last four Heisman Trophy winners.
Name the last three winners of the Miss America contest.
Name the last two Academy Award winners for best actor and
actress.
How did you do? The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no
second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish.
Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
